Halloween Party Animals #2

The Halloween fun continued on Saturday night with Mimi's Halloween party.  She puts so much time and effort into it every year and it is always so much fun.

They always have the best costumes.  

The one and only family shot.  At least Dan and I look like we are having a good time.  We had a scavenger hut that Sam loved.  He talked about it for days after.  At the end of the hunt was caramel apples for all of us.  They were amazingly delicious! We had a donut eating contest.

Ever since this donut eating contest Sam has been obsessed with donuts.  We don't eat donuts much around our house so I think a whole new world has been opened up to him, he loves them.  A friend in the neighborhood is known for her homemade donuts so she made some on Halloween for everybody to come get some.  We went and I got four.  One for me, one for Sam and two for Dan.  Well, it turns out that Sam had three and then got mad at Dan for eating the last one.  He is obsessed with them.  Asks for one every time we go to the store.  I'm not a huge donut fan so I'm perplexed by this but whatever.

We decorated pumpkins into bats.  Sam was very proud of his little bat.

We ate ourselves silly and had a great time.  Thank you Mimi for another great party!  We hope this tradition stays for years to come.
After this party was over the kids were beat so Dan took them home to bed and I went to my good friend Cyd's party.  Yet again, more great food and talking.  I took no pictures but it was still fun.  WE mostly just sat and talked for a couple hours.  I didn't have any kids crawling all over me so I quite enjoyed myself!
