McCall, Idaho

Here I am again way, way behind.  Soldier on my friends, soldier on.

McCall was awesome again as usual.  We really had such a great time.  I hope that I can remember all the fun things we did.
There was a lot of fun swimming that all the kids loved.
Cute cousins Ginger and Sam.
The great house we stayed in.
I'm totally out of order here but that's all right.  Sunday after church we took some family pictures.  The sun was bright and harsh but at least we have most of the people looking. We're missing Monica and Brad, Olivia and Dean and Mary's family.

What is the deal with us taking pictures in the blazing hot sun at the worst time of the day?  This one might be up there with the terrible blessing day photo.  Next family picture we take will not be taken in the terrible bright sun.  Any how, moving on.
I think this one of Grandma and Grandpa Simmons turned out super cute though.

Sunday afternoon after church everybody went on a hike except for me.  Well, Mom S was nice and stayed back to take care of Ellie.  I fell asleep and Dan didn't wake me b/c I had slept hardly at all the week prior to the vacation so I needed a nap desperately.  They all had a great time though.  I was bummed I missed it but I really, really needed to sleep.
Monday was waverunner/lake day and we had a blast.  It was a little chilly in the morning but it warmed up nicely.

Sam had a blast playing on the beach but he DID NOT want to go on the waverunner.  We asked him for about 3 hours if he wanted to go and he was very sure that he did not want to go.  He was terrified of them.  Dan and I decided we needed to force him to go so we did.  He ended up liking it but didn't want to go again.  That Sam is a funny kid.  He gets very, very nervous in new situations and trying new things.  He did it though and we were proud of him.

We hung out on the dock and tried to catch some rays.
I know I've said it many times but I love her eyes.  Well, I love everything about her.  She is so chubby I just want to squeeze her all the time! We love our Ellie Bells.

Tuesday was river rafting day.  Dan and I didn't go this year.  I'm still nursing Ellie and it's a long excursion so I decided to stay back.  Dan had gone every year since we've gone so he decided it was his turn to stay back.  We took the kid swimming and they had a blast.  I know I am forgetting so many things.
The Clark family was up in McCall with us as well. So a couple of us were in charge of dinner every night.  We had amazing food and it was really nice to just have to worry about dinner one night of the week.  I quite enjoyed all of the delicious food.

Wednesday we went to Boulder Lake.  Well, I didn't make it all the way up.  Sam really just wanted to throw rocks in the lake so I took him back and let him play at the lake at the bottom.  He was in heaven.  Dan, his parents and Tyler and Shelley all made it up to the top.  Nice works folks!
I'm pretty sure that Sam could throw rocks in water all day.  He loves it!

Beautiful!

Seriously!?! Oh we love her.

Gabe, Sam and Ginger. These kids have so much fun together!

Wednesday afternoon all the ladies went out to lunch.  It was so much fun.  I love going out to lunch with girlfriends.  I just love it.  Sitting, talking, laughing, eating.  Truly a great combo.  After lunch we walked around the shops for a little while.  It was fun to get away without any kids. I should have brought my camera but  I didn't.  I'm lame like that sometimes.
They boys went golfing on Wednesday afternoon and Dan shot the best round of his life.  He shot a 76 and could not have been happier.  Really, it was the best round he had ever played.  He was a very, very happy man.
