Wrapping up McCall!

Thursday was canoe day.  Everybody loves canoe day.  Mary and I weren't sure what to do with our babes.  Mom S had a great idea for us to drive to "the rock" that we always go to and then switch with our husband's and canoe back.  It was a brilliant idea and worked beautifully.  I really was disappointed about missing out completely on canoe day.  This way we each got to particpate and didn't have to bring the babies in the canoe.  I am very, very glad we didn't try to take Ellie.  I don't think it would have gone well.
Sam loved it and did really, really well.

Beautiful scenery!

Yes, my hand does look extremely inappropriate in this picture.  In fact I'm laughing out loud as I type this.  Nice hand placement Em.  Oh that makes me laugh.

The whole clan.  I know, you can't really tell who is who in this but I'm glad we got a shot of all of us.  This is a very fun group of people.  We had so much fun with everybody.

Thursday night everybody went to see Harry Potter except me, Mandy and Dad S.  It was the longest night of our lives.  Okay, okay, it wasn't that bad.  The kids weren't even that bad I don't know why the night felt like it was 25 hours long.  We were glad when all the parents were back and next year, the three of us are going to the movie and somebody else can take a turn staying back. :)

Friday we went on a hike up to a lake.  I can't remember the name of the lake but it was a beatuiful lake.  The hike was a tough hike but Ellie and Sam did awesome!  I think that both of them actually did better then I did.  I don't know why I don't really enjoy hiking.  I'm trying to enjoy it more, really I am.

You like Dan in the back?  Apparently Dean was doing the same thing but bailed at the last second.

The hike tuckered Ellie right out.

Friday night was the last trip to Ice Cream Alley.  A place that everybody LOVES up in McCall.  Even though I'm not a huge ice cream fan the ice cream is pretty good.

Look at that huge double scoop Dean had.  I would dare say he looks pretty excited to be eating that ice cream cone.  Nice Dean, nice.

Saturday we just packed up, cleaned up and headed home.  The kids did awesome on the drive up to McCall but coming home was a different story.  Sam was complaining of an ear ache so we had to pull off and find somewhere to get medicine.  Multiple feedings for Ellie and multiple screaming fits also by Ellie.  She really wanted to get out of her seat so she was not happy.  Everybody was sooooo happy to be home.  I hate sitting in a car for hours and hearing your child scream.  It's not fun.
Thanks Mom and Dad S we had a great time!  Until next year McCall!
