What have we been up to??

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been until I had updated until I got on and saw that it was almost  a month ago, yikes!  It seems like we have been really busy but just with life.  Church callings, work, etc.  So, let's see, what we have been up to....

**Passing CPA exams!  That's right folks, Dan passed his second of four CPA exam.  Two more to go and he is officially a CPA.  Let the big bucks roll in.  Ha ha ha, one can dream right?  He actually got an 87 on his last test.  This picture is from his first test because I was to lazy to get out the new test results and take a picture.  I know some people just like looking at pictures. (Madeline):-) He's so smart, way to go Danny!!

Somewhere between 16 and 17 weeks.

**Growing a baby!  I continue to feel really good. The doctor took an ultrasound at my 16 week appointment and he guessed that it was a girl.  He told me not to buy any clothes b/c he wasn't 100% sure.  I wouldn't be surprised though b/c I swear I am feeling so much better then I did with Sam.  We will have the "big" 20 week ultrasound in a couple of weeks.  Don't worry you won't be seeing anymore tank top running shorts pictures.  My belly has substantially grown in the last 2 weeks and I am entering gross pregnant lady stage.  I'm just not a cute pregnant girl, I've accepted it.  At least this time around it will be during the winter months so I can cover up more.
I'm still working out and feeling pretty good.  Problem is the baby is right on my bladder and I feel like i have to go to the bathroom the entire time I am running even though I have just gone.  Really annoying actually.  Unfortunately candy isn't as repulsive to me as it was when I was pregnant with Sam.  I have eaten so much candy lately that i will just look at candy and my body will scream NO, PLEASE NO!  I ignore it, (because the candy still sounds a little good) eat some candy and get sick.  I need to listen to the intuitive eater inside of me more because really I have eaten way to much candy lately.  I've been craving red meat a lot as well.  I wonder if my iron is a little low? Who knows, bring on the meat. Probably not a good thing that the holidays are on there way in.  Heaven help me have self control.  More updates on the baby later!

**Raising a star athlete!
Look at that follow through folks.  He kept missing with the basketball and he went and got the football and made like three shots in a row.  I smell a quarterback in our future.  I'm kidding, but he really is pretty coordinated and continues to love balls.  Now if we could just get him to the ball without falling.  He is kind of clumsy and falls a lot.
Still enjoying a good golf game.
And we are very much enjoying his exploding vocabulary.  Oh how I love that he can talk.  He is hilarious, I'm biased and i don't care.  He told me I was naughty in the store the other day.  He has become very obsessed and protective of some of his favorite books.  He insisted on bringing them into the store and he dropped one so I picked it up and was carrying it.  He ripped it out of my hands and said "No mommy, that's my book, naughty, naughty."  I couldn't help but laugh.  I can't imagine who has been telling him that he is naughty.  All right, it was me.  Every time we pass the walls where he colored with crayon he says 'Sammy naughty.'  Yep, that's right kid, walls are not for coloring.  I expect that to happen much more and probably with every kid.
As cute as he is, another thing we have been doing is trying not to injure him when he wakes up so early.  Why on earth is he waking up at 5:45 and 6 again?  It is driving me insane!!!  No matter what time he goes to bed he is waking up way to early lately.  The worst part is that he is still tired and it shows, he is so ornery in the morning.  Grrrr!  So he will be going to bed at 7:30 if not earlier and I am very much looking forward to it.  He has been eating a lot better.  Well, not all the time but some days he does great.  We have found he really loves ground beef.  Meatloaf, taco salad beef, oh and sausage.  All the really healthy meat you know? :-)

Oh, another thing that I have been doing is making salsa.  I wish i would have taken a picture of the process because it was a lot of work.  I spent an entire day at the Simmons where Mom S, Mandy and myself made some delicious salsa.  I wasn't even there the whole time either.  Mom S didn't finish sealing all the cans until like 11 at night.  Thank you!  Oh, we also got some really yummy tomato juice from it all as well. I am so excited to have salsa and tomato juice in storage.  We eat a lot of salsa and I use it in a lot of recipes so I am really excited.  I also made a couple batches at home and they aren't as good but I'm still learning.

Until next time....
