Where are this kids parents?

Don't ask me how but Sam drew this beautiful artwork on himself fully clothed with a onesie underneath. He has started really loving putting stuff down his onesies lately. It makes for some fun surprises when I go to change his diaper. We have a lot of nuts and bolts outside from the people that used to live here. Some sort of little, or not so little nut or bolt will come rolling out of his shirt when I undo his onesie. It makes me laugh every time. The other night Dan and I couldn't find the remote and I jokingly said Sam probably stuck it down his shirt. He had a nightmare that night (he gets those a lot, not good) so I went in there and rocked him back to sleep. In the process of that I was feeling around his stomach area to see if I could feel the remote. I didn't feel anything but what did Dan find when he went to change Sam in the morning? Yep, the remote. It was stuck down in the pant leg of his pajamas. He really loves putting pens down his shirt and drawing on himself as well. I'll be honest most the time I won't fight the pen out of his hands if it will buy me some whine free time to get something done. Judge me if you will.

Sam is currently liking to stick things up his nose which worries me. Just this morning I was cleaning the kitchen and he was looking at his books, or so I thought. He was in fact eating one of his books and sticking the pieces up his nose. When I found him I could see a little bit on his face so I immediately looked up his nose. Sure enough a huge piece of chewed up book was there. I had him blow it out which he cooperated quite well with. I couldn't see anymore up there so I thought I had gotten it all until my visiting teachers were here and he sneezed. Two more small pieces of wet book come out and there is another one sitting up in his nose. What the heck? I guess I better keep a closer eye on him.
We went to his 18 month well check a couple weeks back and he has grown. It is no surprise really he has been getting skinnier and skinnier and all of his clothes are getting too small. The best part of the well check is of course he is healthy but NO SHOTS!! I was thrilled but I am already dreading his 2 year check when he will have to get more shots. I cleaned out filing cabinets and organized a bunch of crap papers we had laying around and now I can't find the paper with his stats on it. Great! I think I remember pretty close to what it was though.
Height: 32 inches or so (40%)
Weight: 24.4 lbs. (30%)
Head: can't remember the size but it is still like 10%
I think the doctor summed it up perfect when he said. He basically looks bigger then he is. It is so true. I don't get it as much b/c obviously he is thinning out but people use to always say "wow, he is a big kid." When he was a baby he was a big kid but for a while now he really just appears bigger then he is. It must be the round face and adorable cheeks of his.
This next picture is for you Shell and Mandy. They are always giving me a hard time for not having enough pictures of Danny and I on the blog. I totally agree and that is my goal for our 2010 blog. More family pictures and pictures of Danny and I together or just pictures of us at all. I made this picture black and white b/c the coloring was really harsh on my white skin and it isn't a great picture anyway. But hey, at least I'm in it right?

Maybe I should make my pics black and white - you look great! That is hilarious that he puts the stuff inside the onesies. We had a sharpie incident but they both had their clothes mostly off at the time ( not to mention that I didn't even have a digital camera at the time so now I can't find the picture anymore). In the space of one day I had someone tell me Fox was big for his age and another that he was small.

Wow you have one funny kid. Those stories cracked me up! I love that picture of you. I recently realized that I need more pictures of jeff and I as well, it is just really hard because you have to have someone else take them or do the whole close up shot, which I do not look near as good as you do in them.
