Sam LOVES garbage days. He will sit there and watch the truck go up and down the street. Every other week is a bonus when the recycling comes. Then there is double the trucks, awesome! He had a much cuter stance when I went to grab the camera and then he switched but it's still a cute picture. He loves to sit and look out that window and Dan and I just get a kick out of it. So inquisitive you know?
Just a quick shout out to Danny's busy season. We hate you!! Yes it is a little harsh but we really do hate it. It sure does make me have a greater appreciation for those single moms out there. Like my sister whose husband was deployed for like 15 months was it? Seriously, no break for 15 months, how, how, how? She had 4 kids too, not just one. I guess when you have no other option that is what you have to do. Dan does get to see Sam in the morning for like an hour so I guess that is good. Sam is usually in bed by the time he comes home. He asks about him a lot. Especially in the evening when I'm pretty sure he is sick of me and he is use to Dan coming home. When Dan does make it home before he goes to bed the kid goes wild. I plan on getting it on camera b/c it is so funny. He just runs around and squeals and giggles and falls down to show off for him. He instantly starts saying ball over and over and over. They have a little game where they throw balls up the stairs and Sam just loves it. He doesn't even want to let Dan change his clothes. He also won't kneel down and pray with me before he goes to bed when Dan is gone. I will say "okay Sammy let's say our prayers and then go to bed." He just keeps saying "Daddy, daddy, daddy?" He won't do it, it's pretty cute and Dan loves it of course.
Dan will usually work until 7 or so and then sometimes he will come home to see Sam and eat dinner and then work from home for a few hours. Sometimes he goes to the gym and then comes home and works some more. If he just works all of his hours at the office he usually gets home between 9 or 10. Oh and he works most the day Saturday as well. And then if the weather is good he will go golfing. it The Saturdays haven't been all that great weather lately so he has only gone once. Do I selfishly want him to stay home so I can go somewhere by myself? Sure I do. But I realize that working 65+ hours a week is no walk in the park for him either and he deserves to get out and do something he actually enjoys instead of being locked up in an office all day long. I do get breaks as well. Even if they are short I still enjoy every second of them. Dan works so hard for us and for that I am very grateful. Busy season is no fun for all parties involved but we are surviving and it will be over before we know it. I hope!

my friend's husband is also an accountant in the middle of the busy season - the only plus side is that after it is over he gets tons of time off for fun vacations, so hopefully it is the same for you guys!
It was 15 months plus 6 months he was at school but who is counting?:) However, I did have help at the end at moms for a couple months.. but man I feel for ya
