We start them young at our place

Sam loves to get into Danny's scripture case for some reason. If he finds where I have put it away he runs to it and rips it off the shelf and just starts emptying it. He loves books and thinks that any book he sees is going to have pictures in it. So he gets the scriptures out and flips through the pages looking for pictures. He does this with any book really and is so confused when he flips through the pages and there aren't any pictures.

He knows who Jesus is. When I show him a picture of Jesus and  ask him who it is he will say "sus". Sometimes he will get the J or e in there but he doesn't say the whole word. I can't even really even explain how it comes out but it is very cute. I had him at a Young womens activity a couple weeks back and there was a picture of Jesus on the wall and he ran over to it and was pointing and saying "sus, sus". He has such a good memory. I am amazed at how smart kids are. He is so cute when we say our prayers.  He will get on his knees and fold his arms and then half close his eyes. It's almost like he wants to close his eyes but he doesn't want to miss what's going on during the prayer. He sits quietly while Dan or I say the prayer and then once we say Amen he goes crazy and rolls around and claps. A future Elder Simmons in the making, we hope!

So cute. We've lost a few scripture pages to kid interest, but they usually glue back in nicely!
