Labor Day

This is pretty much how I spent my labor day. Not really but I should have and could have. Dan took Sam on a hike with his family. He told me that they would be home around 12. I went to the gym and took my sweet time. No need to rush just did what I wanted, it was great. Came home and took a nice long shower. Went to the store BY MYSELF, it was awesome!! Came home and cleaned. Also, so much easier when you don't have a hurricane following you and messing up everything that you are cleaning. I hurried to get everything clean before I thought the boys would be home. I was ready for them to be home by 12. Unfortunately my cell phone got left in the diaper bag that Dan took with him so I had no way of knowing how they were doing and when they would be home. That might not bother some people but it was driving me crazy. I worked on this huge magazine project that I have been working on for about an hour and still no sign of them. Ate lunch while looking out the window thinking they would be coming home any second. (Pathetic, I know) Still, no sign of them. Why couldn't I just sit back, grab a book and enjoy my time alone? I LOVED it for the first few hours but after about 1 was ready for them to be home. I was getting worried so I ran down to the gas station to call Dan's cell. I knew he wouldn't answer an unknown number but thought I would try. Of course, no answer. There was a creepy guy at the gas station so I took off right after I called worried that I was going to get raped an pillaged. (OK, not really but he was creeping me out so I took off). Anywho, they finally came home around 3:30. Apparently the hike was quite a bit longer then they were expecting it to be. It was super nice to have the morning to myself. I just wish I could have enjoyed the afternoon more. I'm a worry wart but that is a whole different post. Anyway, it was a great Labor Day. Thanks baby face for taking Sam and letting me have the morning to myself.

Here we are at baby Gabe's blessing (Trent and Mandy's little boy) on Sunday. Why must I be such a cheese ball? My sister also blessed her baby on Sunday in San Diego and I was bummed we couldn't be there.

And I am putting this picture in here to hopefully teach Danny a lesson. Take me serious when I say we need a family picture okay? :-)

Here is little Gabe. I love his hair, he is so cute.

Another really quick story. I was tired so I laid down on the floor with a pillow. Sam came over and put his arm around me and laid right next to me. Soooo cute!! He had everybody in the living room just laughing. He is such a lover. Today we were playing on the floor and I took his little dog spot and told him that me and spot were going to take a nap. He came up and put his arm around me and laid down right next to me again. Of course, he can only hold still for about a nano second so it doesn't last long but he has so much personality, I love it!

That is so cute with sam attacking you on the floor - I hope Fox will do that! I don't think I realized that you guys don't have a home phone - doesn't that drive you crazy? My cell dies too often - and what number do you give people that want to call you AND Dan? do they have to pick? i like the idea of saving the cash, though, and I've heard that is all the rage with you younger folk... :)
