Carmen's big day!

My niece Carmen turned 8 in March and she has been waiting to get baptized ever since!  Toby (her dad) is on leave from Korea and was able to baptize her yesterday.  We are so glad they did it here so that we could be a part of it.  She was the only one getting baptized so it was a nice, small little program.  My mom gave a talk on baptism and I gave a short talk on the Holy Ghost.

After the baptism we just went back to my parents and had a delicious lunch of pizza, wings (Carmen's request), veggies, fruit, salad and cake.  Delicious!
And this is what we're dealing with folks! :)

It's quite unfortunate that this is the best picture of all of us at least looking near the camera.  Notice I was smart enough to turn to a frontal view.  It does nothing for my chubby face however.  Pregnancy is a sacrifice.

See what I mean?  Sam looking away, Ellie looking away and eye closed.  Dan and I look decent.  Oh well, you do what you can.

I am doing pretty good on my blogging, no?  However, I am finding that it is really hard to remember to take so many pictures of things we do throughout the day.  I had a list of other things I was going to blog about but forgot to take pictures of it and quite frankly, blog posts without pictures, BO-RING!!  I've already been on my soap box about that in previous posts.  Anyway, I'm doing my best to keep up on blogging  b/c it is the only form of scrapbook/memory keeping I do.  Seriously, my kids don't even have baby books, FAIL, huge FAIL!!  I want them to have something to look back on and say, oh that's what I was like then.  I'll try to keep up on it even if it is a super short post about something.  It just needs to be done.  I would love to get atleast a picture book made for each of their lives but I'm not holding my breath on that one either.  We do what we can.
