Zoo Lights

Dan actually had a couple of days left to take before the end of the year so he was able to take a few days off between Christmas and New Years.  IT WAS AWESOME!! We decided to take the kids to Zoo Lights b/c Sam loves the zoo and w thought it would be fun.  It was unseasonably warm which made me very, very happy.  However, it was sooooo busy I wanted to cry.  We did get to try out the new wagon Mimi got us and the kids love it and I love it.  Win and win!

Zoo lights was okay.  First of all I think it's ridiculously lame that you still have to pay for Zoo lights when you have a season pass. Lame Hogle Zoo, lame! I think it was so busy b/c the night we went it was only $2 bucks to get in.  We definitely should have just gone during the day.  It was cool but Sam didn't appreciate the cool light displays he just wanted to see the animals.  And unfortunately you don't really get to see many animals during the night.  It is more for the light display.  Again Ellie had no idea what was going on but she did pretty good.  I don't think I would go again to be honest.  I'll just go during the day when it is less busy and you can actually see the animals.  The zoo must make a killing on that lame Zoo lights.  I wouldn't recommend it.  It sure was fun to spend time as a family though.  We do not get enough of that.
