I have craved Plates and Palates Pear and Pecan salad A LOT. Pretty much every single day I want one. But seeing that they are around $10 a pop I'm not going to spend that everyday. I finally used my brain and decided to start making them at home and oh my, have they been hitting the spot. Of course I have to add a cheese bagel to the mix b/c, um, they are delicious. So delicious I couldn't even wait to take the picture (notice the bite out of the bagel?) pathetic em, pathetic. I also found that the texture of pears was kind of grossing me out so the apple took it's place.
Apples definitley deserve a place on the staples list. I eat a couple a day and I'm glad I have been craving something healthy instead of what you will see next. I know, I know, try not to judge. However, I know it will nearly be impossible.
Oh how I wish that I could tell you this was the extent of my candy stashes, it's not. I told you I had a problem folks. I bet you didn't believe me? The problem here is I will crave one candy, get a bag or so and then after about one taste of it I'm done. So the collection keeps growing and growing and growing. So this is a collection of probably a years worth of candy that I don't eat after the craving has passed. I need to go through and give away what I don't want. My young women will eat anything and they eat alot of so they are usually the ones that get most of it. Anyway, enough about the candy.
I always have a chocolate protein shake with wheat toast for breakfast. I truly look forward to it every morning, it is so yummy.
Animal crackers are always in my snack list. Not the really sweet ones. These ones I get are kind of salty and a little bit of sweet. Pretty bland but sometimes that is just what I need.
My next staple is cottage cheese and crackers. Oh my, how I love my cottage cheese and crackers. I eat it pretty much every day. It's fast, it's east and I just love it. I am a bit of a cottage cheese snob. I love Costco's cottage cheese. I go through different phases of crackers. As you can currently tell wheat thins and Triscuits are at the top.
As of late my appetite has been really hard to satisfy. Nothing really hits the spot and nothing sounds that good. It changes with the days but I hate it when I'm starving but don't want to eat b/c everything sounds disgusting. Anyway, weird post I know but just some of the little things I want to remember.

At least you're not craving crappy fast food!! That's on the top of my list lately...like the Jr. Hamburgers from Wendy's, their fries, etc. I crave fast food!! Apples are also on my staple list. Especially Granny Smiths. I don't judge your candy addiction. I ate 7 gingersnaps today.
wow - glad I checked your blog tonight, so many fun posts to see! this is a great one, those are all things you totally forgot after you have the baby (I already don't even remember what I ate last week, so ...).. I have a bigger candy problem - once I open a bag, I can eat the WHOLE THING!! It's sick, I tell you (not like sick to my stomach because I can eat the hwole thing with no problems whatsoever except for massive guilt)
