Sam really wanted to show off his belly as well.
We are getting close and I AM READY!! Yes, this pregnancy has been great and I have felt great. However, I'm now getting uncomfortable, feeling huge, feeling exhausted and I am ready to have this baby. My doctor didn't check me this week but when he checked me last week I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. While some people may not be very excited about this, I was thrilled. Let me remind you when I went in to be induced 8 days late with Sam I was only at a .5. I am hoping that at 36 weeks and already more dilated that is a good sign. Yes, I know it really means nothing but it makes me feel better okay. I am only measuring at about 36 weeks. The doc measured her at 5 lbs 14 oz. but I know those can also be way off as well. She must just be sitting back more then out.
I have still been working out and feeling good. Me and the elliptical get along really well right now. Walking/running really hurts my ligaments downtown so I have been sticking with the elliptical. My heart rate gets up much easier these days so I think that is why I like the elliptical so much. Not to mention I have been reading while working out and loving it. So I get a break from Sam and I get to read. With working at home, reading is something that I don't get a lot of time to do. I have really, really been wanting to read lately. I have a huge list of books that I want to read. I am taking about a month off from transcribing when I have the baby so I am hoping during late night feedings I will find some time to work on my list. If you have any books you've read recently and loved please leave a comment. I just finished 'The Help' and loved it!
I have about 2 remaining pairs of fat pants left and I am really looking forward to having something new to wear. I love, love, love jackets and none of them fit right now. I miss them. I seriously wear the same 2-3 outfits the entire week. I decided I really like to be pregnant in the summer. Flip flops and gauchos, I MISS YOU! Seriously I hate putting shoes and socks on. I'm too cheap to buy maternity clothes. I would rather stick it out and save the money for a new outfit when I'm not huge. Luckily my sister and sister-in-law both gave me some maternity clothes to use and that has saved me. THANK YOU Shell and Michelle.
That's about it for now. Oh, might I also mention how annoying it is when I hear woman complain about having their baby at 36-38 weeks. Seriously people try 41weeks. I am going to beg my doctor at my next appointment to let me get induced at least on my due date if the baby hasn't come yet. I hope next time I'm blogging about this baby I have pictures to show of her. Oh man it's close. I cannot wait to see this little girl and I am SOOO excited to be having a girl now. Not sure when it changed but I am very excited for a girl.

Em, I had Lauren at 36 1/2 weeks, but I didn't complain! :D. Here's to hoping your girl comes early - but if not, that your dr. has mercy and allows induction ;) I'm so excited for you!! Love reading your blog!
cute pics - the fatty "after baby" phase is seriously the worst - good luck with that :)
