Sam really likes to knock on the window so that they will look at him. He then repeats 'they're looking at me, they're looking at me.' We'll see if these deer make it past the snipers that are taking them out in Bountiful. Should I call and tell on them? No way, I'm not going to have deer lives on my conscious forever. :-) Moving on...
I am happy and sad at the same time about the next topic. I think Sam's naps are officially over. The happy part of this is that we have had virtually no problems with him going to bed at night since the naps have ended. I mean, not a problem, not a peep. And he woke up at 6:30 the other day, 6:30 folks, do you realize how huge that is for this child? Let me tell you, it is huge! The obvious sad part is that he is not napping anymore. This has required me to totally change our routine. It is really hard for me to not get that break but the last couple days I told him that he needed to have quite time so that mommy could get a couple things done. And he actually played by himself for a little while. He plays in the same room and we talk but he isn't whining about me playing with him.
I hope I don't make it seem like I never play with Sam. I do, we have a great time. Hide and seek is one of my favorites because he will count 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, here I come. The other day it was 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, coming to find you mommy, 10, 10, 10. I had to start knocking on the wall the other day because he got distracting while looking for me. So funny. Anyway, we have a lot of fun and I do play with him. Just to get that straightened out.
So I guess the nap was just too much sleep for him. He's only 2 years and 3 months, aren't they supposed to nap until they're like 8? Okay, I'm kidding. All kids are different and I guess this one is done napping early. I do love having more time at night however. Here's to good night's sleep for all of us until the baby comes!

Maybe I need to give up on nap time too cause it is killing me but I just always thought they were supposed to take naps at least until they are 3. But it looks like Sam does just fine. Josh goes down at 2 but ends up playing in there until like 4 and then still needs me to fall asleep. He is usually more onery when he falls asleep so late than when I just have him go without the nap. And an early bed time sounds great to me!
