I love to see the Temple!

We live super close to the temple.  I mean, super close.  I walk up the temple hill for workouts sometimes and if there was a sidewalk I would probably walk all the way up to the temple.  But I usually always have Sam with me I don't like taking the running stroller on that road.  I digress.

I LOVE FALL!!  I am just amazed at the beauty it brings.  I love watching the leaves change and have been wanting to go on a drive to look at the leaves for a while.  So the other night we headed up to the Bountiful hills to check out the leaves. Much to our surprise we spent most of the time at the temple.  Sam has been obsessed with the temple lately.  He was so excited when we first saw it and would not stop asking to go the temple.  So after about 5 minutes of looking at leaves we decided to go the temple.  He loved this fountain and really wanted to go swimming in it.  To give him credit it would be a blast to play in if it was appropriate and maybe a little bit deeper.  You'll have to excuse his awesome outfit.  I wasn't really planning on a photo shoot at the temple.  He was so excited I just had to take some pictures.  He kept saying "it's so big, it's so pretty."  He really wanted to go inside.   We pretty much had to drag him kicking and screaming when we had to leave.  I also promised him I would bring him on Saturday morning, which I did.  The gate wasn't open and we were both in sweats and I didn't really feel appropriate walking around in sweats so we didn't go inside, we just ran around the outside of the gates.  I felt bad because he was pretty disappointed.  Next time we go I'll dress us both better so I don't feel like a bum walking around the temple.   I'm not talking Sunday clothes but maybe something nicer then sweats.  Let's be honest though with my jeans getting tighter I will be sporting the sweat suits A LOT this winter.  Maybe I shouldn't be so worried about walking around the temple in sweats.  It just seemed so inappropriate.  Wow, this blog is full of digressions, sorry.

If I look freezing it's because I was.  It was freezing up there.  He flips out when he sees the temple on the hill.  We live so close I think we might just drive up there for walks more often.  I love, love, love where we live.  We don't have a new house, in fact it's really old but I honestly love it.  Sure, we still have a ton of work to do.  It is much more organized then when most people have walked through and we still have a ways to go.  Yes, we still have a lot of decorating to do but truly I love the location (when they say location is everything I totally agree, Bountiful is the Mecca) of our house, I love our ward, I really love our house.  Okay, there are a few rooms I do want to repaint but that's what you get when you pick the paint colors for your whole house in like a week when you are in the middle of working your tail off to put it back together after you've ripped it all apart.  Maybe that is why I love our house so much, we put a lot of work into this thing.   I just feel so blessed to have a house.  Wow, way off track there, sorry folks.
I'm not sure where Sam's obsession with temples came from but I'm not complaining.  We did have an FHE a couple weeks ago where we talked about temples.  Hmm, I wonder if that's where it came from, I just thought about that.  Kids are smart I wouldn't be surprised if he remembers us talking about it.

I was able to take a couple pictures of some leaves.  Seriously, how can you not love fall?   I'm just a little sad I haven't appreciated it more all these years.  It is so, so beautiful out there right now.  I hope we all take some time to look at the leaves and eat some pumpkin and caramel apples.  I have been craving caramel apples and do plan on making them this week.  I JUST LOVE FALL!!!
