Golfing and Bubbles!

Sam is obsessed with Golfing lately.  Dan of course loves this.  Dan didn't really golf with him much to get him started.  We just had an old set of Dan's clubs in the backyard and Sam just starting playing with them. He normally hits bigger plastic balls but he does hit a little golf ball sometimes and he does pretty good.  He is actually really, really good at golfing.  Our neighbors came over to tell us they love to watch him out their back window and how impressed they were with his skills. He is so funny he will pause, get set up and then swing and hit it.  Then he giggles and runs to get the ball. Unless someone is with him and then we usually retrieve the ball. I got some pictures of him practicing the other day.

Excuse his outfit.  These are actually what we use for pajamas and it was an early morning practice so I hadn't changed him yet. :-) He will play golf for a really long time.  Especially if one of us is out there with him.  More about the golfing later.  Another one of Sam's favorites lately is bubbles. Loves them! 

He is actually really good at blowing bubbles too.  My mom found these sweet things at Wal-Mart that are like spill-proof lids so the kids can hold the container themselves and not spill.  I would say that it is not 100% spill-proof but it isn't as disastrous as it would be without the lid.  Sam wants to do everything himself so he loves that he gets to hold the bottle and dip the stick in.  He does great at blowing bubbles and then he can catch them back on the stick.  I have been impressed with his bubble blowing skills.  But he is my son so I am pretty biased.  He sat at my parents and did this for seriously like an hour. That is a ridiculously long time for a 22 month old to sit still and do the same thing.  Amazing I tell you.  I immediately went to Wal-Mart the next day to buy a spill-proof lid so Sam could do it himself at our place.

I got some pretty sweet video of Sam golfing that I will have to try to upload.  I'm telling you he might just be our retirement plan. :-)
