Little, adorable Madison was such a great sport all week. Sam is a lover and hugged her all week. Seriously, he wouldn't leave her alone and she didn't whine or push him away once. I think she liked it!
We went downtown to the Church History museum and it was a lot of fun for the kids. I would love to go back sometime without kids to really walk around and enjoy everything they had there. We spent a lot of time in the kids area but not a ton of time elsewhere. They have some really, really cool stuff there. It has been years since I had been there so I really enjoyed it. The kids had a great time too.
Sam loved the babies and carried them all over. He even managed to pick something out of this babies nails. The kid is a picker. He will see the tiniest little thing and go to pick it up or just pick at it.
He will be a great big brother. This is not an announcement but if he stays the way he is he really will be so sweet and kind. He can be rough sometimes but for the most part he just wants to hold and love babies. Gosh, I really hope he stays that way. Wishful thinking? Maybe so, we'll see.
He loved these blocks where he was suppose to build a temple. He of course didn't know he was suppose to build a temple but he had a great time throwing them around. He has really started throwing everything. Not so good sometimes but we are working on what can be thrown and what can't.
Him and Maddie loved these little benches and they both clearly like their tongues. They were both looking at this lady that Sam was mesmerized with. He has serious seperation anxiety right now so when he walked over to this total stranger I was shocked. She was a really pretty lady and had a sweet voice and he just stared at her while she talked to him. She even mentioned that he was really mesmerized by something b/c he was just staring and smiling at her. It was strange but cute at the same time. We went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch and it was delicious.
We also made a trip to Gardner Village and the kids loved the animals. Who am I kidding, I loved the animals. Seriously I felt like a 12 year old girl with these baby goats. They were adorable.
They had pigs and horses and ducks. The animals were a big hit for kids and adult alike. A close favorite to the animals was the candy store. I just had to get a picture of me in the candy store b/c everyone knows I love candy. I got some delicious gourmet suckers. It's weird I usually don't like suckers but the last couple of weeks I have really been liking them. Strange. The phrase "a kid in a candy store" holds true for me. Pathetically I was walking around looking at everything wanting a little bit of it all. Sad but true. I got a sample of some maple pecan fudge and oh my, it was amazing. Alright, alright, enough of the candy.
We went to Archibalds at Gardner Village for lunch and it was soooo good. I got a turkey avocado sandwich and it was delicious. Thanks Dad!
Maddie had a break down and Sam being the sweet boy that he is was trying to comfort her. He was petting her back and hair, it was adorable.
Being the boy that he is wanted to get as muddy as possible. As seen in previous posts he likes water coming out of rain gutters. There was water dripping everywhere and he just wanted to get in the mud and make a mess. He is such a boy.
We went into a few of the shops which is of course a nightmare b/c they are pulling things off the shelves left and right. Laying on the floor playing with toys, lining up the toys. I was going crazy but it didn't seem to bother anybody else. I just need to chill sometimes. They have so many fun shops out there.
We aren't sure what Madison was doing with these toys but she sure was having a great time.
The kids got along quite well the whole week and I know Sam loved having them around. I know that he is going to be looking for them next time we get to my parents. It was super fun having them here. Whenever family comes it always makes me wish we lived closer but we'll get to see them in August for family vacation so that will be fun.
Kind of a freaky looking Easter bunny and we couldn't get all the kids to look together but hey, we tried. I should also thank my mom for making dinner for us every night. She made delicious meals all week and I would eat with them then I would take some home for Danny for his dinner. He is still working so much and so hard. I feel bad for him, he needs a break. Hopefully things will lighten up soon but this week has been really stressful and busy. Anyway, it was awesome not having to cook all week so thanks Mom and Dad!!
