It's true, I am obsessed!

With food blogs, I love them. I really like to cook and I have recently just discovered how many food blogs are out there. There are some really great ones. One of my absolute favorites is http://mykitchencafe.blogspot.com/. I like the way she writes and all of the recipes I have tried have been delicious. Danny has even really liked them and we all know that he can be a food snob sometimes. :-) A couple of our recent favorites are these super bean burritos. I love beans, not sure exactly why but I love them so I am always looking for recipes that have beans. These were really good and they freeze great for future meals or lunches.

Another recent favorite are these oatmeal chocolate caramel bars. These were sinfully good. I could have eaten these until I was sick but I contained myself.

I sure hope it's not illegal to be putting her pictures here. I figure as long as I am referencing where I got them it's okay right? I sure hope so. I am currently making her 'baked brown rice'. It is in the oven cooking so I will let you know how that turns out. Check our the blog, you will not be disappointed.

Another thing I am obsessed with is Sam. That was a lame transition but I wanted to share these pictures. I love how Sam looks in his hats. I am often amazed how he keeps them on. Sometimes he will pull them off so they are just barely sitting on his head in this dome and it just cracks me up. Anyway, I caught a couple pictures on our way up to Sunday dinner and I like them.
I have also been wanting to take a picture of him in this tractor. It is the Taylors (neighbors parents) and Jed has it sitting out there so every time we go to my parents he likes to play on it. I really wanted to take a picture of him sitting in it but Danny didn't think that was a good idea so I settled for him sitting in the bucket. I might just have to remember my camera when Danny isn't there so I can get a picture of him in it. Just kidding, I would never do anything like that. ;-)

I'm on a black and white picture kick today can you tell? He is a little over exposed in this picture so I should probably edit it but it's cute none the less. He almost has all 4 of his molars in. I like to think that is why he woke up early for so long and continues to wake up early a couple of times a week. We still love him anyway.
And on a completely different note look what I found sprouting up. TULIPS!!! Just ignore where these are planted I had extra bulbs so threw them in the backyard where some of the grass is dying. Spring is almost here folks. I think it is like 19 days away.  But whose counting right? I know we will still probably get snow and be freezing, but for the most part we are on our way to spring and summer and I am soooo excited.

Reminds me to get out and do some spring planting. I always forget until June and it's too late. Good cooking tips too, that stuff looks tasty!!

Tulips make me sooo happy! I too just made those oatmeal carmel bars and wow. I finished off the pan yesterday just to get them out of my house. Thanks for the website! Let's get together before our next play date.

I found your blog of random ideas truly inspiring. I especially liked the pictures of the wonderful food, and of course my nephew.

I just became a BIG fan of mykitchencafe now too. I just made the Chicken corn chowder with sweet potatoes last night and it was awesome! After having lunch together I got all motivated to try all these new recipes. Yeah for food blogs!
