Mothers Day!

I had a pretty good Mothers Day. Sam woke up at 5:45 so my day started nice and early. Dan did make me breakfast though so that was nice. A couple of eggs over hard and a piece of toast. It was delicious. Random note, ever since I was pregnant with Sam I LOVE eggs over hard. I don't even know if that is what they are called. Just like eggs over easy but without the runny yolks. Anywho, we went to church and I had prepared a Young Women lesson and then found out when I got there that the YW were going into the Relief Society so I didn't have to give my lesson after all. I was pretty excited. It would have been nice to know before I prepared it but whatever. Now, I'm all ready for this week.

After church Sam took a nap and I got gifts and cards done for our Mothers. We went up to my parents for a little while. It was so funny my mom gave Sam her itouch with some pictures of me and him and he put his finger on it and realized that the pictures moved up and down when he moved his finger and he just kept doing it over and over. It was pretty cute.

My parents gave me a nice card and some super cute jewelry for mothers day. So nice of them. After we hung out with my parents for a little while we went over to the Simmons for Dinner. We had a delicious dinner of Steak and Chicken shishkabobs and roasted vegetables, rolls, yummy grilled potatoes and a fruit salad. The meal was really good. I made some Oreo dessert that was pretty good. It was pretty rich but good. Grandma Simmons gave me a really nice book and Mom S gave me some great gardening gloves and super cute apron. It was a really nice Mothers Day. 

However, I didn't really think of it as a Mothers Day for me. I always just think it is for our Moms. Maybe because I don't have as many great years of experience as a mother. Who knows. We have great Moms and feel so lucky to have them. I only took a couple pictures. I need to get better at taking pictures. I bring my camera but then forget to take pictures. Below are a few we got.
