Yeah, so you notice anything missing out of my car? Yeah, my car got broken into on Thursday night. I didn't even realize it until about 1 o'clock on Friday. I went out to my car and I noticed the lock wasn't straight up and down like it usually is. It was a little crooked and that is when I looked in my car and saw the stereo completely ripped out and the middle console had been rummaged through. I'm not sure why but I got all shaky and started crying. I was just freaked out. We feel VERY lucky that they didn't break any windows and that I didn't have anything else that was expensive in the car. Actually, I take that back. I did have my stroller in the trunk and I'm convinced if the retarded thieves would have known how expensive that puppy was they would have taken it. I would have been ticked if they would have taken our stroller. But they didn't and we feel very lucky. After I realized what had happened I came back in our apartment and called the cops. I was surprised at how fast they came. Turns out there were 4 car robberies in our complex that night. Our complex isn't really that big. About 16-20 apartments. Anyway, I'm pretty sure we won't be filing a claim considering they only took the stereo.
I am missing the stereo already though. I get in the car and its just silence. I really hate silence. Usually right when I get home I turn on the TV or radio just to have sound on so it is going to take some getting use to. It just freaks me out knowing that my car was parked in the carport that is literally 10 feet from where we sleep. What jerks! It is such a violating feeling. I mean, they totally found my candy stash in the middle console of my car. How embarrassing! :-) Really though, what is wrong with people. I was talking to a lady in our complex and she said that in the 5 years she has lived here this is the first she has ever heard of anything like this so it made me feel a little better. Of course, it got Danny and I even more anxious to find a house. We are still just looking but we both are feeling very claustrophobic in this little place.
Anyway, make sure you lock your cars and homes. My car was locked and they still got in but still. Luckily I am married to Danny who checks our cars 2-3 times before we go in the house to make sure they are locked and chastises me if I ever leave anything in my car. As much as I make fun of him for it, I am so very grateful he's like that.

That is terrible! I am so sorry to hear that. Something like that does freak you out. You should come live by us...we have only had cops running past our house once chasing an armed guy. Much better than a break in I'd say!
What CRAP!!!!! I am so sorry to hear that! This happened to me once and I was livid, I know how you feel. I hope you have better days this week.
that is so lame - man I should have been checking your blog more often - I'm totally behind the times now!
