Sam loves to put EVERYTHING in his mouth. I think most babies are like this. However, I have found him doing some pretty amazing things to get toys in his mouth. For example as you will see in the picture below he grabs the toy on his bouncer and pulls himself up to it trying to get it into his mouth to chew/suck on it. He is a super strong kid, I'm telling you. After he freaked out b/c he couldn't get it far enough into his mouth I took that attachment off and was just singing to him to entertain him while I made dinner. I look over and he has himself hunched over trying to get the plastic thing on the side where the attachment goes in, into his mouth. I unfortunately didn't get a picture of that. We are going to have to start buckling him in or he is going to fall right out of that thing. So the problem with all of the toys comes when he can't quite get it in his mouth like he wants to. He starts crying and gets frustrated and upset.
This happens with every single toy I give him. Yes, I have tried a Binky almost from day one. He took it randomly on and off but now just likes to chew and play with it. He LOVES to suck/chew on fingers. If we are holding a toy and trying to give it to him he will grab our fingers from off the toy to get it in his mouth. I'm actually kind of bugged that he cries after playing with a toy for 2 minutes. He got some great toys for Christmas from grandparents and he plays with them for about 2 minutes and then starts screaming b/c he can't get it in his mouth. Even if he does get it into his mouth it isn't what he wants so he cries It is quite annoying for me to be honest. Can't he just enjoy the great toys he has? It would just be nice to have something to entertain him for more then just a few minutes. Any suggestions??? Hopefully this is just a phase and he will be enjoying all of his great toys soon. It is actually pretty funny to watch him try to get EVERYTHING into his mouth. I will have to get some video of it when our new video camera comes. Post on that when it arrives. I AM SO EXCITED for it to come and it is hilarious to watch him try to get things from soda cans, cell phones and candy from my mouth into his own.
Oh and I almost forgot. His feet actually entertain him for a while He loves to chew on those toes of his. He will go 15 or more minutes just playing with his feet. He discovered his feet a few weeks ago and has loved them since. We should all love our feet, they do a lot for us. Unfortunately I'm not as flexible as he is to give the love to my feet that they deserve. He makes a great grunting noise when he is putting them in his mouth as well.

Can I just say I always love reading your blog! It is fun to see Sam go through the exact same things Josh has. So with the toy thing, good luck! Josh got all those new toys for christmas and although he doesnt get frustrated with them anymore he still does get bored with them in a matter of minutes. I love all your pictures!
