Sam had his 2 month check-up yesterday and his first shots. He is our chunky monkey. He weighed in at 12 lbs and is 22 1/2 inches long. He's a good eater, what can I say? He is in 95th percentile for weight and 75% for height. His head is in the 50th percentile so at least he doesn't have a huge head. He did great with the shots. He got a rotavirus, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, Hepatitus B, HIB, and pneumococcal vaccination. Wow, that was a mouth full. I just wanted to put it down somewhere so I didn't have to get the papers out if I was trying to remember what shots he got. But I digress. After the first shot he wasn't quite sure what happened but after the second one he started wailing. He pulled out what Dan and I call the purple cry. He cries so hard that he turns purple. He pulls this cry out on rare occasions when I don't feed him fast enough. After I picked him up he whimpered for a few minutes and then he was fine. He was actually really sleepy yesterday during the day which is quite rare for him so I was happy he got some good rest. And in case you were wondering, yes, Sam did have a question and I called on him shortly after taking the above picture.
