Ellie's 1!!

Why is it that I was better at blogging when I was working?  I guess when I'm busier I get more done?  Who knows, but I don't miss the job AT ALL.  I miss the extra cash but not the work.  Anyway, Ellie turned one back on March 11th.

I truly cannot believe that she is one.  The past year flew by so, so fast.  Ellie is so much fun.  As mentioned in previous post she is a spit fire.  She has serious attitude and is very emotional.  We didn't really do anything for her birthday.  I'm not one of those cute moms that goes all out to have a big party.  To be completely honest, I think it's a complete waste of money.  I guess if I had money to just throw out the window I wouldn't think it was so ridiculous but I don't so hence, I find it a complete waste of money.  

I got her this little walker thing b/c I really would like her to start walking and I thought it would help.  It hasn't helped at all.  She has NO desire to walk.  I'm really not that worried about it.  I just really want her to be walking by the time we go to Yellowstone in June.  

We went up to my parents and gave her a cupcake.  I was going to make her a cake but I was making a ton of food that weekend (can't remember why) and I saw this on clearance and Smith's and just grabbed it.  I'm lazy like that.   

She wasn't too sure at first.

Then she really got into it.

She loved it and made a huge mess.  And for the record I will not be buying another one of those nasty cupcakes again.  It was like grease trying to get it off of her body, NASTY!! 

She loves to swing.  I'm on the hunt for a baby swing to put on our swing set.  I found one on KSL last night for $5 bucks so hopefully it's still available when I call tomorrow.  

She smiles with her nose, very cute.

So.... she's short and chubby but oh so cute!

Likes to bite and hit, pretty awesome. :( Really, she's just learning how to defend herself. 

Once she knows that she has an audience the girl goes crazy!  Kicking, falling, turning, oh it's funny.  I really need to get it on camera.  

Loves books and animals.

Barks when she sees any animal and giggles so cute when she gets to touch an animal.  

Says mama, dada, uh-oh, and I swear she says yeah when I ask her if she wants something.  

We call her baby, babes, ells, ellie, and ellie bells.  Sam calls her babes sometimes and it is so stinkin' cute. 

Okay, that's about it for now.  I'll have to add more as I think of it.
