Books and Puzzles and Animals oh my!

Sam is obsessed!  Seriously he cannot get enough books, puzzles or animals.  Unfortunately the books and puzzles need to be animal books or puzzles or he won't even consider them.  I was trying to explain to him at the library the other day that he can like books if they don't have animals in them.  He wasn't buying it.  You should hear this kid giggle as we go into the library.  He loves it!  I am pretty sure we have checked out every child animal book from the Centerville and Bountiful library.  Really, he left the Centerville library the other day asking to go to the other library b/c there weren't any new books that he hadn't seen.  It's true, we go to the library a lot.  It's an inside acitivity and with this LAME weather we have been doing it a lot this winter to get out of the house and not spend money.

He has his own little backpack and it is always FULL of books.  As you can see he couldn't wait to get home from the library to look at the new books.  I looked back the other day and he had all of them out on his lap.  Such a goof!

The puzzler!  He loves to puzzle.  The problem is that i also love to puzzle and watch him puzzle so I have to stop myself from buying a new puzzle for him every time we go to the store.  I love to watch his brain work while he's trying to figure it out.  He is getting so good it is amazing.  Really, he's good.  I'm biased I know.  He will do puzzles that aren't animals but he does prefer that they have animals on them.  

He has to take a bath with ALL of his animal figurines.  He has a ton and it's really getting quite annoying but they entertain him in the tub so whatever.  The other day I heard him say "we're having a party." I said "who's having a party?"  I walked into the room and he had all of his animals lined up.  It was a pretty sweet party.  We danced and sang, it was a great time had by all. :)

Terrible picture but it's the only new one I have of them together.  Guess I better get on that 'eh?  Anyway, he is getting better and softer with Ellie and I am learning to chill out and not get so upset when he lays on her or whatever.  He really is being quite helpful.  I was cooking dinner the other night and she was freaking out.  I asked him to go put her binky in her mouth and he did.  It's like an extra pair of hands.  

He talks and talks and talks and is quite bossy [can't imagine who he got that from.)  He is hilarious and bratty but he's two and a half so I'll let the last one slide just a little bit.  I heart him!
