We had a pretty great day. A family in our ward does a flag raising ceremony so we went to that this year. It was awesome, I wish I would have taken my camera. After that we just got ready and headed up to the Kaysville parade. Luckily the taylor girls saved us a seat at the parade. The parade was good but it really needs more floats. Okay, the parade wasn't all that great. It was really long and there were hardly any floats. But they did throw candy so that was good. I didn't get any but the kids sure enjoyed it.
I loved it b/c I was able to see some of my favorite girls. I don't get to see these girls half as much as I would like to. I always have such a great time when I am with them. Not the best picture of us but that's alright. Meaning the lighting is bad. You all look great ladies. Except for me, I look retarded. Anyway, moving on.
The weather could not have been better. It was overcast and just perfect. I loved it! It was nice not to have to stand around in the blazing sun. After the parade Danny went golfing and I met my friends at Cafe Rio for lunch. I had a free meal, I was pretty excited about that. I really wanted to go with my friends swimming after lunch but Sam really needed a nap so instead of drag him to the pool I was a good girl and just brought him home for a nap.
We went to the Simmons for a bbq and then back to my parents for fireworks. I was so excited b/c my sister Liz and her family decided to come for a visit before they go to Japan so they were here for the 4th. I love having family around for stuff like this. Vacations and visits always makes me wish that my siblings and my families all lived closer. Oh well...:(
I just had to take a picture of Sam playing in this pack and play at the Simmons. He was loving it and I just found it ironic b/c he absolutely hated it on our vacation. I know it was b/c he was playing in it and we weren't forcing him to sleep in it but still.
It was a great day and Sam stayed awake until about 10:15 and then slept through the finale.
He missed the best part. :) He actually sat and watched them and acted like he was liking them. Probably b/c he was so ridiculously tired he couldn't do anything but sit and stare but whatever. I am sad one of my favorite holidays has now come and gone. Seriously, where is the summer going? I love summer!!!
Phew, I think I am all caught up on big things like vacations and holidays on the blog. Love it when I get all caught up.

I wish we were there at the Kaysville parade! It's kind of funny but this is the holiday that is the hardest for me to be away from family. Great pictures, you guys are such a cute family!
It looks like a fun filled day. Dave said that he ran into you (I was sad I wasn't with them) Dave went on and on about how cute Sam was and so smiley. You are always so good to get pictures of the 3 of you together. I need to think more about having others take pictures of my little family. I think Sam is adorable, but if Dave goes on about it, he must be cute.
I was totally there! I wish I would have known you were there too. I would have come and said hello. I wrote about the Kaysville parade on my blog too and the crazy family that was next to us. Oh dear.
